As I have mentioned I live on a farm in west sussex. My family have a 200 herd of beef Aberdeen Angus cows. We get in 100 calves a year from a few weeks old and they stay here until they are ready to leave. I love getting the new calves in, they are so tiny and they do become friendly when you spend time with them.

I saved up enough money to purchase 2 simmental heifer(Girl) calves. I got them when they were tiny. I named them Amie and Mel. I spent a lot of time with them and they have become mega friendly. I can even lead them around on a hulter like people do with horses. Amie and Mel are pregnant and there calves are due in January 2009. Amie and Mel had there baby calves, Amie gave birth to little Billy on the 7th of January 2009 at about 12.45pm. He is a lovely chocolate brown. Mel gave birth to little Tilly on the 15th of January at about 11.20pm. Tilly is all black with a little white under her tummy.

I also have a Tortoise( I know he is not a farm animal but I thought I would put him on this page). His name is Harry and he is a 3 year old hermann tortoise. I say him but I dont know whether he is a boy or a girl as it is really hard to tell but I think he is a boy. He has such a funny character. The other day I was planting weeds for him in his garden and he came over and sat on my shoe, just watching me, I'm sure he had his reasons LOL. He looks really big, but he actually 8 cm long.
